Explain COTC. Who is who?

The Carriers consists of me (Prophecyer) and RizenSon as the MC's and Ben DeCido and Remix as BeatMasters Production, and DJ Diziple on the 1's and 2's. We also have a Street Promotions person named Christian, a Secretary (and singer) named Darlene, a Press Relations Person named Benny and an MC that we're disciplining that goes by the name of JAH who's our Hype man For now. That's pretty much it. But we have a lot of help behind the scenes.

How did you become involved with COTC?

Well basically I had just started MC'ing not too long before I joined up with the crew, and had med up with Riz at Nyack College. Funny thing is that we didn't really talk or hang out when we were at the school, but I got an e-mail from him out the blue because he read my AOL profile and noticed our similarities and love for Christ and Hip-Hop and decided to invite me out to check out a practice of the Carriers crew that was just getting underway, shortly after we had our first Official concert and thus birthed The Carriers.

Where do you see yourself and COTC in 5 years?

Well as far as myself I think it's hard to predict where one is going to be in 5 years time. I know that without a doubt I will still be Ministering God's Word whether it be through Hip-Hop or not. I would like to be established in the Christian Hip-Hop community and maybe doing some behind the scenes stuff too. But as far as the Carriers, we would like to expand Carriers Of The Cross Ministries as to not solely be a Hip-Hop crew but a full-fledged Ministry and we're currently taking steps in that direction. June 30th's event 2 Restore: Tha Counter Attack is something that Carriers Of The Cross has organized with some help of local churches as well, but mainly RizenSon and the Carriers Staff has organized. We'd like to do events and such at other churches to help them put it together and promote it right as to truly represent Christ's excellence. That's just a taste of what we'd like to accomplish.

What artist(s) have you not worked with but would like to in the future?

Well there's a lot of people I'd love to work with such as Phanatik of Cross Movement, KJ-52, Hazakim, Beridox, 39 Lashez, Playdough, Soulheir the Manchild, Corey Red and Precise to name a few. I'm almost down to collab with anyone that has a desire to serve Christ.

What is currently spinning in your cd player?

Right now I have Phonetic Composition's album that I have been feeling, also CM's Human Emergency, Japhia Life, KJ-52, and DJ Maj's stuff. I also have some unreleased stuff of ours that'll come out in Sept.

What is your most embarrassing moment?

When I was on stage for my first time ever performing BC (Before Carriers) I was doing a song that I wrote and I forgot the whole second verse. So I had to try and play it off by freestyling and trying to get the crowd into it. It was soooo wack. But I got some positive feedback from people who I didn't even know before that point. So I kept at it, and never go into a show without knowing the stuff back to front.

What is the worst job you have ever had?

The worst job I ever had was a landscaping job for a golf course. It was just a summer job, but they had me doing all kinds of junk like emptying all the trashcans with nasty beer juice and stuff dripping on me. The worst part was getting up at 6am and if you were even 30 seconds late you'd hear it. But nonetheless I worked 3 summers there.

If you could have one super human power what would it be and why?

It'd have to be reading minds, because sometimes I just want to know why people will do certain things, and so in Ministry opportunities I'd be a step ahead of them to relate Christ to them.

What were some of your musical influences?

Well Christ is my main influence for everything. But when I was listening to worldly Hip-Hop I'd listen to De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, GangStarr, KRS-ONE, and Das Efx. But when I started rhyming I was listening to Grits "Factors of the 7" album, Cross Movement's "Heaven's Mentality" and Tunnel Rats.

What is your favorite Bible verse and why?

My favorite Bible Verse is Jeremiah 1:4-7 talking about how God knew me before I was born and had a purpose for me even at that time. It just amazes me to know that God had purposed for me to be Ministering His Word with and through Hip-Hop since that time, and it makes me want to strive to seek Him even more to fulfill that purpose.

What can we expect from you in the near future?

The Carriers LP will be dropping late September. Look for it! We plan on having an ill release party too. As for me, I'm looking into doing some guest spots on other people’s albums, Lord Willing. What you can always expect from me is the un-compromised message of Jesus the Christ, other than that just basically rocking shows and spreading the word. Ya' Heard.

Any last words?

Don't sleep on the Carriers. Check us out on the web www.carriersofthecross.com to keep updated and there will soon be some previews of the LP at www.mp3.com/carriers. Trust God.
