What the science about the name OPE aka O*ASIATIC?

OPE (pronounced like HOPE w/o the "H") is short for OPUS ONE, which is my graf artist tag. O*ASIATIC is an alias. My other alias is LION-O (of Thundercats fame).

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years I hope to be (Music business wise) on the level of international recognition for myself and the label. Hopefully with enough of a stronghold on my fanbase to have world wide support every time we release something and still increasing the number of supporters.

What do feel is the toughest part of the music industry?

The toughest part of the industry is trying not to flip on all these phony heads with hidden agendas. The trifling heads are sometimes very overbearing.

What would the ultimate reward for you be?

THE ULTIMATE reward would be complete and total economic self sufficiency for myself and all my artist. We wait or the day we don't have to get up to work for someone else.

What message are you trying to get across to fans?

don't have a message for the fans other than stating the fact that every now and then, there IS a producer who comes along and rhymes better than a whole lot of so-called MC's, and doesn't have someone writing for them. A producer who knows how to make good songs, not only for himself. but for the artist/label's, that have hired them. I feel lyrically and musically that I have a lot offer the rap game.

Do your friends and family look at you differently now?

My family and friends don't treat me any different than normal. We're all trying to make it happen in our own way. My way of making it happen is through music. They understand that.

If someone was to look in your CD player or tape player right now what would be in it?

If someone were to loo in my CD/tape player they would find, REDMAN (def squad), XZIBIT, PE, THE BEATNUTS, AND KOOL G RAP.

Who do you feel is your biggest influence and why?

My biggest influences are the artists I listed above because to me, they've NEVER put out bad product.

How do you feel your music will effect itís listeners?

My music will affect listeners by giving them a feel for what a lot of them missed with OLD SCHOOL, by giving them what they expect in terms of high lyrical standards from today's class of MC's/rappers, and by hittin' them with some of the hardest beats comin' outta Fort Greene Brooklyn.

If you could change one thing in world what would it be?

If I could change the world, I probably wouldn't because things are the way they are for a reason. I believe the reason for everything that happens in our circumference is revealed to us in time.

Any Last Words?

MY LAST WORDS ARE: THANK YOU for this opportunity, and to all those who are reading this, go to the OPE ENTERTAINMENT web site and peep what's going down. www.angelfire.com/on/ope , Show us some support. THANKS TO ALL WHO WILL take the time to read this.
